Doğuş Children's Symphony Orchestra (DÇSO) will organize an unforgettable music festival on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of our Republic. The orchestra will meet music lovers at Galataport Istanbul on October 29.
Doğuş Children's Symphony Orchestra, the first and only permanent national children's symphony orchestra of Türkiye, is specially prepared for the celebration of the 102nd anniversary of our Republic. The Doğuş Children's Symphony Orchestra is preparing to celebrate the enthusiasm of Republic Day with the universal artistic language and energy of youth with two concerts to be held at Galataport Istanbul on October 29.
In this meaningful concert, alumni who had their first orchestral experience under the DÇSO roof and who are continuing successful international careers today will return to the stage. Violin players Alican Süner, Hasan Gökçe Yorgun, İdil Yunkuş and Sesim Bezdüz will reunite with the orchestra and give music lovers an inspiring experience.
This concert, organized by DÇSO with about 70 students, will be attended by the General Director of Music, Prof. It will be held under the direction of Rengim Gökmen. The repertoire is enriched with works by Sarasate, Paganini, Vivaldi, Rossini, Fucik, Dvorak, Mozart, Hasan Niyazi Tura and Cemal Reşit Rey; There are also works that reflect the spirit of the Republic such as the 10th Anniversary March, Youth March and Turkish Symphonic Poetry.
For the program that has meticulous preparation behind it, 124 students joined the preparation group through auditions held among conservatory students in different provinces of Türkiye. The works are performed under the guidance of conductors and effective teaching assistants of the DCSO Art Department, performed at a fast pace in 6 cities with the participation of neighboring provinces. The concert will be held on Wednesday, October 29 at 14:00 and 17:00 at Galataport Istanbul Doğuş Square. These special events, free and open to the public, will make the passion of Republic Day accessible to everyone between the ages of 7 and 70 this year.
