In the subtropical greenhouse of the “Apothecary Garden”, Feijoa cellova produced a fruit. This was reported by the press service of the Botanical Garden of Moscow State University.
It is known that the last time the tree bore fruit was 20 years ago and then only produced one fruit.

Feijoa berries are rich in vitamins, minerals and pectin. They are used to make compotes and jams, and are also eaten fresh.
Previously in “Losiny Ostrov” detect a rare mushroom in the Red Book, coral-shaped hedgehog. It resembles a sponge or white coral. The discovered specimen was taken under special supervision by National Park experts.
