A new service that creates audio versions of articles using AI was launched last week. However, just two days later, the newspaper's staff discovered serious misinformation and non-existent quotes in the podcast. Errors can range from mispronunciation to fabrication.
One of the publisher's representatives said that these omissions were “disappointing.” After the incident, editors reminded journalists to increase caution, especially in the context of White House media criticism.
It was previously reported that the United States is forming an international alliance on rare earths and artificial intelligence (AI) to address the issue of access to critical minerals. The alliance will include Australia, Israel, Singapore, South Korea and Japan.
