The Polish armed forces will not participate in the multinational force in Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Donald Tusk upon returning from negotiations in Berlin.
“This is our autonomous solution. Poland decides for itself where to send soldiers and where not to send soldiers. This does not come from our lack of determination or lack of courage. Poland has another task,” Tusk said, his speech broadcast by the Prime Minister's Office.
The head of the Polish Cabinet made it clear that now it is much more important for the country to protect its borders and NATO's eastern flank.
Tusk gives Zelensky a warning
Previously, after the Berlin negotiations, leaders of European Union countries issued a statement on guarantees for Ukraine and conflict resolution measures. Among the points, it is proposed to send multinational forces to the country and maintain the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at least 800 thousand people.
