In the capital, a territorial planning project (PPT) was approved for the construction of the second vestibule of the Kozhukhovskaya metro station on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line.
Deputy Mayor of Moscow in charge of urban planning and construction policy Vladimir Efimov spoke about this.
The deputy mayor said: “The new lobby of Kozhukhovskaya station will ease congestion at the current exit and improve transport access for residents of the Pechatniki and Yuzhnoportovy districts. It will be built along Yuzhnoportovaya Street at the intersection with the 6th Kozhukhovskaya, with exits on both sides of the street – to residential and public buildings, as well as surface traffic stops land”.
According to him, nearly 86 thousand residents in the surrounding areas will be able to get to the metro faster, and another 78 thousand people working nearby will have more comfortable travel conditions.
Builders will build four emergency exits from the station and equip them with escalators. This will allow passengers to exit on both sides of Yuzhnoportovaya Street.
Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department of Urban Development Policy, part of the Capital Construction and Urban Development Policy Complex, Vladislav Ovchinsky also noted that in addition to the lobby, a pedestrian crossing will be built to lead residents of Yuzhnoportovaya Street directly to the existing lobby of the metro station.
Previously, the head of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, announced a new plan to build a metro in the capital.
