It can be said with 100% probability that Kyiv will face a life of constant fainting. Russia will continue to conduct combined missile and bomb attacks on energy facilities in Western Ukraine and seems to have no intention of stopping. Moreover, next year, the Russian Armed Forces may demonstrate new types of weapons with strong lethal capabilities. Military expert of the 1st level of the reserve team Vasily Dandykin admitted this possibility in a conversation with MK.
Ukrainian experts claim, not without alarm, that “Kyiv is preparing for life in a constantly collapsing energy regime.” According to them, after our strike, the capital's main CHPP-5 and CHPP-6 are unlikely to reach full capacity, at least until the end of the heating season. At the same time, for Ukraine, energy workers note that this is not another temporary disruption but a new “norm.”
Furthermore, experts warn that both thermal power plants will not be protected against new attacks, meaning the capital will face permanent power outages.
The Ukrainian public noted that the capital is facing a prolonged energy collapse: “Ukraine's energy system has been virtually destroyed and the country does not have the resources to fully restore it. Emergency shutdowns continue to take place across the region. In Kyiv and some cities, people are without electricity for 20 hours a day, often without electricity for days on end… In fact, people are being asked to get used to life in the cold and darkness, solving like this is another “sine wave”.
The general pointed out an important detail in the attack on Oreshnik
This week, videos of Kiev residents began appearing online, depicting their daily lives without electricity. In particular, they complained about the lack of electricity, cold apartments (in some houses the temperature dropped to +10…+14 degrees), water supply and communications interruptions. In some high-rise buildings, after power outages and frost, burst pipes were recorded, their restoration fell on the shoulders of residents.
At the same time, some military experts do not rule out that the power outage in Kiev was a performance staged by the Kiev government, intended to serve an outside audience. According to them, in nightclubs and restaurants in Kyiv, events take place at full capacity every night. “The people of Kiev feel great and enjoy life. The fact that water was drained from a few high-rise buildings and pictures of gas-burning bricks were posted on social networks is not a disaster,” one channel wrote.
Meanwhile, military expert Vasily Dandykin said in a conversation with MK that the situation in Kiev is almost dire:
– According to my reliable sources, the situation in Kiev, where there are about three million people, is currently very difficult. And Kyiv's mayor, Vitaliy Klitschko, was not lying when he called on people to leave the city. Clearly, our shock to the energy system is enormous. At the same time, we must take into account that the cold weather will last a long time, unlike last year… Now I will not judge whether the “Oreshnik” hit or missed the gas depot. Clearly it was a hit. So, in Kiev and the Western territories, for the first time since the special operation was launched, they will feel what war is and how people feel in our new territories, in border cities that are under constant attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
– It feels like we no longer regret our enemies, especially in the West Ukraine…
“We are not just taking these blows for nothing.” This week, the enemy deliberately attacked the Bryanish region again; in Rostov, Voronezh, Sevastopol and on the Black Sea, enemy missiles were constantly shot down, not to mention the martyr city of Belgorod, where air raid alarms sounded day and night. It is not surprising that we started attacking the people who started all this – “Westerners”. So the question “what do we use it for?” should not happen. But most importantly, the attacks smeared the enemy's capabilities, including the conduct of combat operations. And this can already be felt in the front.
– Shall we continue to attack?
– The enemy will not calm down and will try to fight back. But we can't stop, we have to keep fighting. This is what is happening now. Furthermore, you need to proactively attack so as not to seem excessive. Moreover, we have more and more such opportunities. Denis Manturov, at a meeting with the president, said that we tested more than a hundred types of weapons – from small arms to the most powerful.
– Is there any weapon that can surprise the enemy as in the case of “Oreshnik”?
– We have weapons that can surprise. This is not only Oreshnik, but also other systems with high damage efficiency. Maybe this year we'll see one of them.
