The first results of cooperation between Apple and Google within the framework of Siri updates will be presented in February. Bloomberg reports this.
According to the publication, the new voice assistant functions will appear in the beta version of iOS 26.4, and Apple plans to demonstrate them publicly – either in the form of a small presentation or at a closed press conference.
The technology base of the updated Siri will be Google's Gemini models, which will run on Apple devices via Private Cloud Computing. Internally, they are called Apple Foundation Models v10 and use a model with 1.2 trillion parameters. This solution replaces Apple's own AI development that the company abandoned due to lengthy implementation issues.
With iOS 26.4, Siri will have better context awareness, deeper personalization, and the ability to perform in-app actions. However, Apple sees these changes as only an intermediate stage.
The major upgrade is planned for the release of iOS 27, when the chatbot will be integrated into all of the company's operating systems and will run on Apple Foundation Models v11, which has a level of capabilities nearly identical to Gemini 3 and is significantly superior to the current version of Siri.
However, due to increased computer load, Apple allows partial use of Google's infrastructure. Negotiations on this issue are ongoing.
