Çağlar, who died at the age of 85 after being hit by a motorbike, was buried at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery after prayers were performed at Şişli Mosque. The master artist's funeral was attended by family, loved ones and many names in the art world, including Nuri Alço, Ediz Hun, Teoman Ayık and Ali Rıza Binboğa.Engin Çağlar's wife, Filiz Vural Çağlar, said in her statement to the press: “Everyone is here, everyone's hearts are with us, we also believe in it. I send my condolences to all of Türkiye. Our lawyers are currently handling the case.” he said. Engin Ça? privately, there are many projects, maybe even making a movie, but that's fate until today, the best thing is that his loved ones will never have to be sad. He lived like that.”Actor Ediz Hun emphasized that Engin Çağlar is a true movie character and said: “He was a valuable actor. We lost him, I'm sorry. It should not have happened. Çağlar may have been a mistake, but on the other side there was a motorbike coming at a speed of 60-70 km/h. Motorcycles enter everywhere, they also enter areas with prohibited signs in. Traffic laws are not just for cars, transport vehicles, buses and pickup trucks. “People who use it should not feel uncomfortable, accidents happen every day. Discipline needs to be applied,” he said.Film-San General Director Kıvanç Terzioğlu, in his statement, announced that Engin Çağlar would receive an honorary award at the “FilmSan Movie Series Awards” on November 17 and said: “We have worked with him for 9 years. He was the president of Film San for 9 years. When we spoke two days ago, he was very happy.” he said. Stating that Engin Çağlar recently had a health check-up, Terzioğlu said, “After the check-up, he laughed and said, 'Oh no, I have nothing again. All young people have cancer, something happened to them, they died. I'm also still alive.' he said. Those were his last words.”Ali Rıza Binboğa, one of the artists who attended the funeral, said that Engin Çağlar was a multicultural actor and was not at all arrogant. He said they warned each other about motorbike accidents during their conversation. Binboğa explained his disappointment with the following words: “Be careful. We talked about not having such an accident when crossing the road. The shock I experienced when I learned about this incident was as if we were discussing something that would happen to us in the future.”Actor Nuri Alço said they had lost a precious person of Turkish cinema and said: “He was someone I was very sincere with for many years and someone I was together with every day. We were together the day before he passed away. He had such an accident on the way home. There really needs to be a solution for these engines. Such fast engines cannot be used. He abandoned his family and children. He didn't deserve to die like that.” he said.
