
The consumer confidence index decreased 0.3% monthly in October.
The consumer confidence index decreased by 0.3% month-on-month to 83.6 in October. The Turkish Institute of Statistics (TUIK) released the consumer confidence index data for October. Accordingly, the consumer confidence index, calculated from the results of the Consumer Trend Survey conducted in cooperation with TURKSTAT and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, was recorded at 83.6, a decrease 0.3% this month, while it was 83.9 in September. During the current period, the household financial situation index decreased by 0.1% from 67.8 to 67.7. The index of expectations for household financial situation in the next 12 months was 84.2 in September, up 0.2% this month. The index of expectations for the general economic situation in the next 12 months, which was 78 last month, is calculated to be 78.6 with an increase of 0.7% this month. While the index thinking about spending on consumer durables for the next 12 months was 105.7 last month, this month it fell 1.6% to 104.
