Inflation in Qatar has reached its highest level in a year.
The annual inflation rate in Qatar increased to 1.15% in September 2025, up from 0.73% the previous month, reaching the highest inflation rate since August 2024. The acceleration was driven by increases in prices of various goods and services (12.75%), clothing and footwear (2.93%), education (2.47%), entertainment and culture (1.53%), food and beverages (1.42%) and media (0.56 percent). On the other hand, while prices fell in restaurants and hotels (-1.48%), transportation (-1.12%), furniture and household appliances (-0.35%), housing and public services (-0.23%) and healthcare (-0.07%), cigarette prices remained stable. Compared to the previous month, consumer prices increased by 0.90%, the highest increase in 11 months, after the previous month's increase of 0.42%.
