New ice rinks will be added this winter in Moscow, the capital's mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. They are created as part of the implementation of projects for the comprehensive improvement and restoration of territories.

For example, on the main square of the Luzhniki Olympic complex in winter, a new fountain will turn into an ice skating rink. Its total area will be 16 thousand square meters, it will also occupy the alleys next to the complex. There will be rentals, cafes and restaurants along the perimeter.
At the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, one of the longest linear skating rinks will be built along the Moscow River embankment. Its length will be 1.7 km. The “Starry Sky” installation will be installed above the website. Brick-and-mortar locations are also preparing to open.
