Lyudmila Parshina, head of the laboratory of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, spoke about the weather in the northern regions of the European part of Russia.

“Here there are winds, there are snowstorms, like in central Russia, but in Komi, the Arkhangelsk region and the Murmansk region, the snow will fall longer. In St. Petersburg it will get cold a little earlier than in Moscow. In general, if it is in the evening, then at the beginning of December 12, the temperature there will also decrease,” she said in an interview with radio station “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.
According to her, the weather will be icy, with almost no rain. As Parshina noted, one can count on such weather conditions throughout the week, but it is still unclear how long this frost will last.
“Either a southern cyclone will appear, and warming will first affect the central regions and Moscow, and freezing weather will persist in St. Petersburg, or a western cyclone will arrive faster,” she concluded.
Previously, the leading expert of the Phobos weather center, Mikhail Leus, in a conversation with NSN said November 2025 in Moscow has become one of the hottest months in the history of weather observations.
