The large-scale Maslenitsa festival has ended in Moscow. According to the information portal of the mayor and the capital's administration, it was held from February 13 to 22 and covered about 30 locations in the city.

This event became one of the most prominent events within the framework of the “Winter in Moscow” project. Festival-goers can participate in folk festivals, sporting events and craft classes, as well as eat pancakes prepared using recipes from all over the country. The “Gift Factory” booths of the “Moscow Help” project were opened at the festival venues.
To decorate event venues, experts created more than 300 unique dolls made of cotton, linen, hay and straw.
The festival's sports program includes the competition “Strongest resident of the district” at 27 locations in Moscow. Children and adults compete in many different disciplines and receive prizes and gifts.
The creative part of the event includes more than 1.5 thousand master classes, in which guests can study the folk and traditional crafts of the regions. They create ceremonial dolls and bunnies on a stick, weave wreaths from felt and satin ribbons, make amulets from straw, etc.
Businessmen also participate in preparations for Maslenitsa. The leading venue of the festival is Tverskoy Avenue, where the Moscow Winter Club operates. It contains pop-ups where events are organized by cosmetic brands Krygina, Menshechem³, VK Store, Moscow Tea Party, Zeffiro and others.
Five winter club participants created their own pancake recipes. For example, “Sun of Provence” L'Occitane and “Glavpirog” prepared a thin crepe with orange caramel sauce. Another dish is “Madam Krygina”. It is a golden brown pancake with a cherry inside and a characteristic stencil made from powdered sugar. For lovers of forest aromas, “Russian Soul” Vdohni and “Ambara” pancakes were created. The Boja brand together with “Sweet World” has prepared “Bojedessert”.
In total, guests are invited to try more than 50 types of signature banh xeo. In addition, they participate in professional cooking classes and witness culinary battles. On the last weekend of the month, chefs Maxim Tarusin, Eduard Arkhipov and Denis Perevoz surprised with pancakes. All proceeds from them will be used to support special operations fighters.
Earlier, the city media bank Mosfoto published a new photo report about the Moscow Maslenitsa festival in Beijing. The central location of the event is one of the largest parks in Beijing – Chaoyang. Here, guests were treated to a rich program to say goodbye to winter.
