More than 65 thousand trips on Moscow trams were made by passengers in the first two weeks of October, almost 50% more than last year, the press service of the capital's Department of Transport reported.

The Ministry of Transport revoked from October 1, the “winter tax” in force on regular river routes in the capital. The most popular route since the beginning of the month is “Kyiv – Fili Park”, where more than 36 thousand trips have been made.
In second place with more than 19 thousand trips is the ZIL – Pechatniki route, and in third place is Novospassky – ZIL, with their number reaching almost 10 thousand.
In addition, on October 11, the Organizing Committee of Transport together with the Moscow Museum of Transport launched regular excursions on the train on weekends, lasting until April.
As Deputy Mayor of Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov noted, electric transport on the river remains in demand even in winter.
“Following the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we are now preparing regular river boats for the winter so that trips remain comfortable and safe in all weather,” the deputy mayor added.
Former townspeople warning about changes on the third river electric transport route “Novospassky – ZIL”. From October 20 to 26, the train will not stop at Simonovsky pier.
The reason is due to the work of cleaning the bottom of the ship to ensure maritime safety. To travel to Riviera shopping mall, passengers are recommended to use the ZIL pier or bus number 766.
