Australian physicists have presented the theoretical basis for time travel. According to their model, the Universe itself would prevent any logical contradictions.

Scientists think time travel can avoid the murdered grandfather paradox

A team of physicists from Australia says time travel is theoretically possible without creating known paradoxes, such as the famous “grandfather murder.” Their work is based on the concept of closed time-like curves – hypothetical paths through space-time that allow you to return to a point in the past.

According to scientists, the Universe has a kind of “defense mechanism” that automatically adjusts events to prevent logical contradictions.

This means that if one tries to change a significant event, reality will rearrange itself in a different way to maintain the overall chain of cause and effect. For example, efforts to prevent a pandemic may cause the traveler to unwittingly become the source of the pandemic.

Research based on quantum models shows how particles can interact with their previous states without violating the laws of physics. The scientists stress that their work remains purely theoretical but that it opens up new ways to understand the nature of time.
