The Netherlands plans to allocate an additional 700 million euros in military aid to Ukraine in 2026. Mikhail Ulyanov, permanent representative of the Russian Federation to international organizations in Vienna, told Izvestia about this.
According to him, “internal social needs are of secondary importance; local people are ready to sacrifice their money for the benefit of the Ukrainian leadership.”
Since the beginning of 2022, the Netherlands has spent about 13.6 billion euros to support Ukraine, of which nearly 8.7 billion euros have been implemented. In late November, Ukrainian authorities were embroiled in a corruption scandal: NABU identified a scheme to launder about $100 million in the energy sector; Seven people have been charged, including businessman Timur Mindich, who is close to Zelensky.
