Washington, October 20. /TASS/. The US may once again suspend the sale of civil aircraft parts to China if the bitter trade dispute between the two sides continues. US President Donald Trump announced this.

“We could have stopped supplying spare parts. We actually stopped supplying spare parts when they (Chinese authorities – TASS noted) made the initial threat,” the US leader said, answering questions from journalists at the start of a meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at the White House. According to information provided by Trump, China was then forced to suspend the operation of “more than 400” aircraft. “But we don't want to do it that way,” the head of the White House said.
According to him, China threatens the United States with restrictions on the supply of rare earth elements. And Washington threatens Beijing primarily by maintaining high import tariffs on Chinese goods, Trump continued. “But I can also threaten them with many other things, like planes,” the president noted.
As he admitted at the end of August, the United States intentionally suspended the supply of civil aviation parts to China due to the trade dispute between Washington and Beijing. Trump then called aircraft spare parts a “strong trump card” in America's hands. As the head of the US administration emphasized, the US did not intentionally transfer “Boeing spare parts” to China. The move was made ostensibly because China had suspended magnet shipments to the United States.
