Scientists with the help of chemistry have revealed the origin of blue in one of Jackson Pollock's paintings, for the first time confirming that the abstract person used a bright, synthetic pigment called Manganan Manganan, AR AR report.

Chemists have revealed the composition of the mysterious shade from Pollock's worship image

Picture No. 1A, 1948, showing the classic style of Pollock: The paint is sprayed along the drawing frame, creating a light, multi -color work. Pollock even gives work a personal contact, adding the prints of his hand in the upper part of the picture.

The photo, nearly 2.7 meters wide, is displayed at the Modern Art Museum in New York. Scientists have previously identified the origin of red and yellow on the fabric, but the saturated turquoise source is still unclear.

In a new study, the authors took blue paint patterns, and then used lasers to disperse the light and measure the vibrations of the molecules. This allows to create a unique chemical impression of color, which they identify as Manganan Manganan.

Analysis is published in the magazine Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciencesis the first evidence to be confirmed about Pollock of this specific blue color.

“Manganese blue” Pygent is used by artists, as well as to color cement in the pool. In the 1990s, its use was stopped due to environmental problems. Previous research showed that the turquoise from the painting could be found in this paint, a new study confirmed this, the Hall gene from Rutger University (USA) said. Studies have also gone further, studying the chemical structure of pigments to understand how such a shining nuance is obtained.

Scientists study the chemical composition of art materials to preserve ancient paintings and identify fake goods. It is interesting to explore the samples from Pollock's paintings, because he often poured paint directly on the fabric, and did not mix it on the previous palette.

Although the artists' works seem chaotic, Pollock refused to explain such. He found his job as a system and method. I really see in common while we work and how Jackson Pollock works on the picture, one of the authors of Abed Huddad's study, an assistant researcher to protect in the contemporary art museum.
