By 2026, electronics in Russia will increase in price by at least 10-12%, even before the introduction of new technology fees. Eldar Murtazin, owner and leading analyst of Mobile Research Group, told 360.ru that the measure could increase prices by 4-6%.

Experts note that if the decision to impose taxes on electronic devices, the scale of which has not yet been determined, is approved, the new measure will take effect no earlier than September of next year. According to Murtazin, this number will be 3-5%.

“Accordingly, we will see a price increase of 4 to 6% on store shelves for equipment officially imported into Russia with all customs procedures,” the analyst noted.

At the same time, even without the application of fees, the cost of electronics is still influenced by many factors, taking into account which prices will increase – even before the fall of 2026, the increase will be 10-12%, Murtazin is confident. The analyst concluded that sales in this context will decline by about 20% year-on-year.

Let us recall that the day before it became known that the government approved the amendments put forward by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the application of technology fees to certain types of electronic products, the amount of which will be used to support domestic radio electronics and microelectronics. The exchange rate will be determined individually for each unit of goods, but will not exceed 5,000 rubles for the most expensive products. The list of confiscated goods will be formed in stages over several years.
