The publication WindowsLatest reported on large-scale errors that arose after installing the first mandatory 2026 update for Windows 11. According to journalists, the update affected several key system scenarios and led to complaints from users and business customers.

Among the most common problems is the periodic appearance of black screens, which can only be resolved by restarting the device. Sleep mode errors have also been noted: the screen turns off but the laptop does not go into sleep mode and continues to operate.
Additionally, the Citrix Director monitoring tool began to function incorrectly, and therefore Citrix recommends that alternative administration tools be used temporarily. Users of the classic Microsoft Outlook client with POP accounts are experiencing an inability to close the application correctly, which then blocks the application from restarting.
It is also reported that the custom desktop wallpaper has been reset – the system displays a black background instead. In addition to the errors listed, several less common problems have been identified. Microsoft fixed some bugs in an emergency, while the remaining fixes appear to be included in the next scheduled patch, expected in February.
Previously, the Android smartphone NexPhone supporting Windows and Linux was introduced.
