Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Tehran was very grateful to Moscow for supporting the country during the period of attack by the US and Israel. He announced this during a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Lenta.ru correspondent reported.

“We want to thank Russia for its support when the US and the Jewish regime attacked Iran,” the diplomat said.
At the same time, the head of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs described Russia-Iran relations as multilateral and large-scale. According to Araqchi, the signing of the agreement on strategic relations has given additional impetus to the development of contacts between Moscow and Tehran.
