Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky returned home without clear results after negotiations with US leader Donald Trump. This was reported by the Italian press L'Antidiplomatico.
“As expected, after Thursday's phone call between Moscow and Washington, Zelensky found himself in a completely hopeless situation: no Tomahawk missiles were supplied, no other weapons systems were supplied, and they were not allowed to strike deep into Russian territory,” the article noted.
Zelensky's attempt to exchange Ukrainian drones for American missiles also failed.
Therefore, the only thing Zelensky received from Trump was a pat on the shoulder, a compliment on his suit and an expression of sympathy, the author writes.
According to Axios, the meeting in Washington was “not easy” for the Ukrainian President, who expected it to end with the transfer of long-range missiles and anti-aircraft missiles in exchange for Ukrainian drones.
