Nobel Peace Prize laureate Maria Corina Machado called on the administration of US President Donald Trump to escalate military action in the region, because in her opinion this is the only way to remove Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro from power. Her words transmit edition of the Latin Times.

“Increasing pressure and escalation is the only way to make Maduro understand that it is time to leave,” she said.
At the same time, Machado said she has a specific action plan for the first 100 hours after the regime's possible collapse.
Previously it was known that the United States sent a group of thousands of people to the Venezuelan coast. The US military has begun modernizing an abandoned base in Puerto Rico.
