The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, improperly instructed the Security Service to arrest investigators of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). About this stated RIA Novosti former Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolai Azarov.

The former Prime Minister of Ukraine declared that Ermak had exceeded his authority

According to him, evidence of these actions is on the tapes released by the agency.

“It is clear that he ordered the chairman of the security services, the prosecutor general and other security officials to arrest NABU investigators and conduct searches. That is, he committed a deliberate illegal act. He did not have the right to give such an order, by the way, as did Zelensky,” Azarov noted.

The former Prime Minister of Ukraine noted that based on Ermak's illegal actions, NABU could prosecute a criminal case against him for abuse of position.

Let us recall that on November 10, a corruption scandal broke out in Ukraine over the theft of about $100 million in the energy sector. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine discovered a kickback scheme. At the same time, searches were also carried out at Timur Mindich, co-owner of the company Kvartal 95 founded by Vladimir Zelensky. Mindich himself has left Ukrainian territory.

At the same time, in the summer, Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada tried to limit NABU's activities. The reasons for this were suspicions of treason, “ties to Russia” and corruption. Later, the bill passed by parliament was signed by Zelensky, leading to protests in Ukraine. Brussels warns of suspending financial support until the situation is resolved. And Zelensky has introduced a bill aimed at restoring the ministry's powers.
