Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said Europe must prepare for Russia's alleged attacks deep into the continent, calling it “irresponsible” to abandon the so-called “drone wall” on NATO's eastern flank. Reuters reports this.

The head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs began to fear that Russia was attacking deep into Europe

Commenting on the issue of expanding the initiative to create a “drone” wall, the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Russia is believed to “be able to reach the depths of Europe”.

“We have to be prepared to counter this, and so I think it's irresponsible not to create a counter-drone capability now,” Sikorsky said.

The Polish Foreign Minister also called for maintaining support for Ukraine, and expressed hope that the US would transfer Tomahawk missiles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack Russian targets. Sikorsky believes that providing weapons to Kyiv is necessary to protect Europe.

On September 10, the European Commission announced its intention to create a “drone wall” along the EU's eastern border following an alleged violation of Polish airspace that occurred on the night of September 10. On October 2, Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina said the project could be implemented in 1–1.5 years.

The Drone Wall project is a joint initiative between Germany, Poland, Finland and the Baltic States to deploy a multi-faceted automated anti-UAV defense and tracking system along the entire border with Russia, including Ukraine. Currently, the project is in the development and design selection phase.
