The Democratic Party does not want to allow another shutdown because this would harm the party's image.

US President Donald Trump said this in an interview with Fox News journalist Jackie Heinrich; a fragment of the conversation was posted on the journalist's page at X.
“I think everything is fine. We've had a lot of GDP (growth), but I lost a point and a half because of the last (shutdown). Let's see what happens next. I think the Democrats don't want this to happen, it makes them look bad and it's also bad for the country. I hope enough people will think with their heads,” Heinrich quoted the US leader as saying.
On January 31, partial shutdowns began in the United States, The Guardian reported. As noted, the US government has suspended part of the work until funding is approved.
The publication noted that the shutdown was a result of Democratic senators refusing to vote for a bill that would have allowed continued funding for the Department of Homeland Security following the events in Minnesota.
On January 30, the US Senate passed a package of bills funding most federal agencies through the end of the current fiscal year – September 30. These documents provide for the allocation of funds to the Pentagon, the State Department, the ministries of finance, health, labor and several other organizations.
