US President Donald Trump has pardoned the founder and former director of cryptocurrency exchange Binance Changpeng Zhao. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

“President Trump pardoned Changpeng Zhao,” the post said.
In May 2024, the founder of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao, was sentenced to four months in prison in the United States for financial crimes. It should be noted that this sentence is significantly lower than the 3 years requested by US prosecutors.
Previously, the Financial Times wrote that Trump and his family earned at least $1 billion from cryptocurrency-related projects over the past year. The significant increase in the president's wealth has been linked to his involvement in cryptocurrency trading, particularly through meme coins tied to his presidency and tokens from World Liberty Financial.
