SYDNEY, December 15. /TASS/. Australian police have not released the names of those killed in the attack on people at Bondi Beach in Sydney, but local media has obtained information about the identities of 9 of the 15 people killed.

According to data published by The Australian, among the dead were two Russian compatriots, immigrants from the Soviet Union. It should be noted that during the terrorist attack, Alexander Kleitman, 87 years old, who migrated to Australia from the Ukrainian SSR more than 40 years ago, and Reuven Morrison, 62 years old, who left the Soviet Union in the 1970s, were killed.
It was also reported that criminals shot dead two rabbis – Ykov Levitan and Eli Schlenger, former Australian police officer Peter Meagher, 27-year-old French citizen Dan Elkayam, volunteer of one of the Sydney synagogues, 78-year-old Tibor Weizen and 82-year-old Marika Pogany. In addition, it became known that 10-year-old girl Matilda died as a result of a terrorist attack (parents prohibited the publication of other personal data of the child).
Previously, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, affirmed that “among the victims of the terrorist attack, unfortunately, are also our compatriots permanently residing in Australia.”
