The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) has announced global semiconductor sales data for September and the third quarter of 2025. Accordingly, global semiconductor sales in the third quarter of this year increased by 15.8% compared to the previous quarter, reaching 208.4 billion USD. Semiconductor sales increased 25.1% in September compared to the same month last year, reaching $69.5 billion. Looking by region, semiconductor sales increased 47.9% in Asia Pacific, 30.6% in the Americas, 15% in China and 6% in Europe year-over-year in September, while falling 10.2% in Japan. In his review of the data, SIA President and CEO John Neuffer emphasized that global chip sales continued to grow in the third quarter and significantly exceeded sales in the second quarter. Pointing out that growth in the market was driven by increasing demand, Neuffer noted that year-over-year growth was also supported by sales in the Asia Pacific region and the continental US.
